In the coming years…

As I sit here on dial-up speeds after being shaped, I wonder if it’s actually a blessing in disguise.

You know that feeling of waking up, checking mail, facebook, flickr, myspace, twitter, the news and whatever else you might be a part of - and then going nuts on RSS feeds. The sheer volume of information is enormous, and the speed we go through it is made quicker by design, technology and innovations such as RSS itself. Snippets of “all you need to know” instantly given to you on far-reaching and often non-related subjects, quickly loaded for speedy reception.

lake in the sky

Really like this photo, but not sure if it’s a flickr thing. Taken up at the snow a few months ago, hence the flat sky. I read something about a style of photograph where the lightest parts start at 50% grey, then go darker from there… makes me think of that. Current desktop background.

 
 

I’ll be gone

Here’s a neat video - and an awesome track. Love the hypnotic simplicity. A good music video will reward the viewer, and it’s exactly what this one does. It has that feeling of watching Rage in the wee hours of the morning - some cool clip comes on which makes sitting through 20 crap ones worth it.

multiple perspectives

Watch your brain melt out of your eyes with this baby.. but consider the idea - walking around the streets, from multiple perspectives, all at the same time. It’s almost a game trying to keep your attention split over the different scenes, until the frames become so manic that that if you haven’t blinked yet, you probably could pass out.
